Nissan Repair: fuel cut off switch, fuel pump relay, nissan sentra

Question
Where is the fuel cut off switch on a 2001 Nissan sentra.  The car only has 49000 miles on it and I have had the whole fuel system replaced 4 times now and that has been from Sept till now and I was told to try that before having it replaced again.  Thanks if you can help

Answer
Katie,

There is no fuel cut-off switch.  But, there is a oil pressure sensor that lets the computer know when to ground the fuel pump relay to allow the fuel pump to work.  I would test the circuit feeding the fuel pump.  There is no way a system should fail four times.  So, check the fuel pump relay first, then check to see that it is getting power and if not replace the sending unit that lets the computer ground the fuel pump relay.  I cannot imagine four defective fuel pumps.  Might try a different brand if it turns out that the fuel pump is actually defective.
