Nissan Repair: No fuel, No spark 88 Nissan Hardbody (VG30I), crank angle sensor, crankshaft position sensor

Question
I accidentally jumped some power from the top of the battery post ( ) to the
top of a spark plug still in the head.  Now, when I go to start the truck, it
turns over great, but there is no spark (stuck a timing light on it)  and the fuel
pump doesn't work (test fuel pump, its good).  I'm thinking Main relay, or
maybe crankshaft position sensor?  I have not read codes yet.

Thanks, Alex

Answer
Alex,

You should check the master fuses at the positive terminal to see if they are blown and also check and replace the fuel pump relay.  The ignition fuse is probably blown too.  Check the ECM fuse and hope for the best.  If all of these check good and you are not getting crank signal, you can check it with a volt ohm meter and see if you have a square wave on the crank angle sensor and the cam position sensor.  If all of this checks good then you are looking at a blown ECM from the short.
