Nissan Repair: Wont start, fuel pressure gauge, nissan maxima

Question
I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima. Which I have to admit is seeing its last days. My problem is that it wont start. It will crank but it wont start all the way like it isn't getting any gas. I have had several problems with it. It first randomly stalled out on me and turned out that the fuel pump had some part come off of it and needed to be placed back on it. I have replaced the starter, fuel filter, spark plugs, alternator, new wire harness and a new battery. Why wont it start?? Please help!

Answer
Melissa,

It is either spark or fuel.  Since I cannot see it from here I am only guessing.  So, here it goes...  Check for fuel at the fuel rail with a fuel pressure gauge.  If you have pressure then turn the key off to see if the fuel pressure stays or drops off suddenly.  If it does not and you have good pressure then lets look at codes.  Get a Haynes Manual for your car and read the codes following the procedure.  Basically, it only takes a screwdriver to turn the screw on the brain box and read the flashing code from the light.  Email me back with the codes.  They are in the book and that should give a clue to why there is no start.  Other problems that can cause the car not to start is no spark and that could be the coil or distributor itself.
