Nissan Repair: how to measure 1995 Nissan Quest fuel pressure, nissan quest, fuel pressure

Question
Hi, I am having some problem with a 1995 Nissan Quest and would like to see if it is because the fuel pressure is too low but I don't know where can I measure it.  Here are my observations: 1 - in cold morning, it cranks a long time before it starts.  Now I'll turn on the key, wait until fuel pump stops and then I can start the engine. 2. when I go up hills, check engine light comes on and I can hear some pinging.  I think the mixture is thin because of lower fuel pressure.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi JJ -

The fuel pressure could be measured where it meets the intake manifold. Reomve the line, and connect it to your pressure tester. Turn your ignition key on briefly and note the pressure. Proper pressure is 43 pounds.

Have you also checked your cold start valve?

Hope this helps -
