Hi Bill -

I am assuming that you would like to replace your alternator belt.

To do this, you will first have to loosen it. Find the pivot bolt and the adjustment bolts on the alternator frame. It would be wise to disconnect your battery before working on your alternator, especially if you have little clearance to work with.

Loosen the 2 bolts and the belt should come right off. Installation is the reverse of removal. Proper installation and tension results in no more than one inch of play when pressing on the most flexible area of the belt.
