Nissan Repair: 1998 Nissan Pathfinder, mass airflow sensor, nissan pathfinder

I have a 1998 nissan pathfider that will not rev past 2000 rpms. When it hits 2000 rpms the computer cuts the fuel(kinda like bouncing off the rev limiter). I replaced the mass airflow sensor and it didn't help. Also no check engine light is on. Any ideas? Thanks Jeff

Jeff,

A couple of things here.  First, check the fuel pressure and make sure the fuel pump is not cutting out or that the fuel filter is not plugged.  Second, make sure the converters are not melted and plugged.  Those are my first two thought on the subject.  Email me and let me know what you find.
