Nissan Repair: CAR TROUBLE, oil pressure switch, fuel pump relay

Question
2000 NISSAN MAXIMA V6- CAR STARTS AND RUNS FOR LIKE A MINUTE AND CUTS OFF. HAVE ALREADY REPLACED SPARK PLUGS, ALTERNATOR, BATTERY AND STARTER. WHAT ELSE COULD BE WRONG?

Answer
Kioko,

Nissan uses an oil pressure switch as a safety cut off for the fuel pump.  If the oil pressure switch is defective is could cause the fuel pump to turn off.  I would check the fuel pump relay to see if it has power when the car cuts off.  If there is no power to the pump you have found the problem and now you need to see if it is the relay or the oil pressure switch.
