Nissan Repair: motor mount noise?, nissan maxima, auto parts store

Question
I have a 2000 nissan maxima gle.  Yesterday I went outside and heard what sounded like a pump or valve opening and closing, it continued for hours until I disconnected the battery.  I went to local auto parts store and had it scanned... fine, checked the battery, fine.  In the end after some crawling around I found the source underneath the engine and behind it.  It seems to be the motor mount in front of the fire wall.  I have 72,000 miles and taken good care of. SO can I just disconnect or cut the wire for now?  Can I replace the electric part only or is it a whole motor mount?  Do I have any options?  The reason for asking if I can cut the wire is because I am living in Mexico and the dealer here says that they cannot even look at my car because all there part numbers are different than a USA model............ So as much as I would like to get the part; I can't..... unless you have any ideas for that.

Answer
There is a connector for the rear mount. Disconnect it first to make sure that is what it is. If it goes away you can leave it disconnected but you will notice more eng vibration at certain engine speeds. Do not cut the wire as it is constantly live and may damage the vehicles computer.
