Nissan Repair: CD Jam, nissan murano, click sound

Question
QUESTION: I have a Nissan Murano 2004 - I have a single disc player and the disc is stuck inside.  It still plays but won't eject.  When I press eject it just does a click, click, click sound but nothing happens.

Any advice?  Nissan wanted to just toss the whole radio and replace and of course charge me for a new radio.  Crazy!

ANSWER: They are right, there is no way for them to service the radio. However seeing as to how its a 2004, radios are under warranty for 3 years or 36000 miles which ever comes first. You also can opt for a remanufactured radio, which is what you would get if you are under warranty. Make sure that you check and see if you have an extended warranty contract.

QUESTION: Why not, it came w/the Nissan?  I'm not under warranty any more and have over 36,000 miles unfortunately.

Answer
Yes, you are right, but understand radios for the vehicles are made by vendors such as BOSE, JBL etc. Nissan does not make its own radio therefore it must be repaired by the vendor. Depending on how many miles you are over try calling Nissan Corp you can find it on there website and contact customer service, be friendly to them and they may help you.
