Nissan Repair: Nissan car alarm, nissan 240 sx, nissan 240 sx se

Question
Hi,
I have a 95 Nissan 240 SX SE. The keyless entry quit working, I changed the batteries in the remote, but no luck. When I unlock the drivers side door the alarm goes off and I have to pop the trunk. If I open the passenger side door or the trunk first the alarm will not go off. My driver side window also quit working around the same time the alarm started going off. The factory alarm is still in the car. Do you have any idea what is the problem, and how much it would cost to fix it? Any advise would be greatly appriciated. Thank You.

Answer
Bullet,

Sounds like the wires that go to the cylinder lock in the driver's side door are broken loose or the master control switch on the door is shorted.  The master switch sounds more like it since you say the window is not working.  Remove the door panel and examine the back of the cylinder lock and the wires that attach.  The master switch is pretty hard to volt/ohm meter out.  So, your best bet is a doner switch to verify.
