Nissan Repair: 2001 Sentra power windows, regulator assembly, door spring

Question
Hi. My driver side front window wont go up when put all the way down. The window will go down 1/4, 1/3,1/2,2/3 and 3/4 of the way down and return back to the top (slowly) but, the motor doesn't seem to have enough oomph to raise the window when it is fully down. The window budges and the motor moves the window slightly but, after trying this for an extended period, the window wont budge and has to be pulled up manually along with the switch. The other windows work great. Help. Thanks.

Answer
Rob,

A couple of things here.  First, pull the door panel and libricate everything.  Second, the window regulator spring could be broken.  It is kind of like a garage door spring and helps the motor in getting the window up.  So, if lubrication does not work you will need to replace the regulator assembly and that comes with a new motor.
