Nissan Repair: 1997 Nissan XE pickup clutch, clutch system, clutch mechanism

Question
I live in TX. I leave my truck out at night. 1. Does Moisture cause the clutch to Slip? 2. How to I tighten my clutch?  My last car was a cable adj. Honda Civic DX. I am aware that the clutch system is hydraulic on this vehicle.

Thanks

Answer
Todd,

The clutch mechanism is hydraulic and essentially is not adjustable.  You can adjust the throw from under the dash.  But, if the clutch is slipping you probably need a new one.  If, when you press the clutch, it did not release all the way it could be adjusted and or you could inspect the master and slave cylinders for leakage and that would cause the clutch not to release.  But, since you say it slips it is probably worn to it's limits.
