Nissan Repair: i30 trans problem, transmission shop, cottman transmission

I have a 1996 I30 with 114,000 miles.  It suffers from delayed shift (4,000 rpm's) when cold.  After 10 minutes or so it shifts fine.  I changed the fluid (no shavings), and added seafoam trans conditioner but hasn't helped yet (only about 20 miles since change).  Any suggestions?  Common problem?

Rodney, sounds like the governor is plugged up.  I would take it to your local Cottman Transmission shop since I have had good luck with them.  I would stay away from the other guys since my luck wiht them is several transmissions and other problems came with them...
