Nissan Repair: High Beam Headlight, phillips screwdriver, nissan maxima

Question
I drive a 95 nissan maxima.  I recently had my car inspected for safety.  It was failed because the high-beam on the driver side wasn't working.  I have replaced the bulb for the headlight before, but is there a separate bulb for the high-beam or should I be checking something else?

Thanks in advance

Answer
Thor,

If you changed the bulb and the headlight still does not work?  If this is the case it is the master switch on the steering column.  You see, there are contacts in the switch for the headlights that go out after years and your is over ten years old.  Replace the switch and you should pass inspection.  All you need is a phillips screwdriver and you do not need to take the wheel off.  just remove the column cover and you will see the switch and where it mounts.  Takes less than thirty minutes to change out.
