Nissan Repair: 2000 Sentra Overdrive Problems., servo controller, sentra

My 2000 Sentra Has been giving me a little problem with (I think) the overdrive.  Sometimes when I start it up and start driving it's like its stuck in a bad first gear.  Being its very sluggish and don't change gears. It's an automatic trans.  But as soon as it happens i tuen the car off and restart it the overdrive light on the dash blinks for a couple of seconds and when I start to drive it's back to normal.  Any idea?

The computer is locking the transmission in third gear so as not to destroy it.  When you cycle it and start over it works normally for a while.  I would take it in and have it put on the computer and it will tell you what is wrong.  It sounds like the servo controller or the computer that actuates the servos.  If you drive it too much more it will mess up your transmission worse than it already is so take it in soon.
