Nissan Repair: nissan dash board, lint free cloth, nissan maxima

Question
I have a 1990 nissan maxima 4 door sedan dont know the model
but its the one that reflects the speed on your windshield as well
as the dash board. I have a problem with my electronic dash
board,it will not light up when the car is cold, some times taking
up to one hour and a half in winter time before it goes on. can you
help?  thank you.

You will have to take the instrument cluster out of the dash to clean the connections.  It sounds like a little corrosion has gotten on the terminals where the instrument cluster plugs into the dash.  Oh, once you have it out get a new number 2 pencil and use the eraser to clean the contact points where the wiring harness plugs in.  If you want you can use tuner cleaner that you can get at Radio Shack.  But, use just a little on the contact points and then use the eraser lightly and then follow up with a clean lint free cloth.
