Nissan Repair: 1990 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, fuel pump relay

I'm having trouble getting the car to start. The engine just turns and won't fire, and then all of sudden it will just fire up and then runs fine until i turn it off again. I have replaced the fuel filter, coil,spark plugs and still the same problem. Some days it will fire up like everything is fine, then some days it will turn till the battery dies. What other possible things could be wrong as i am trying to narrow the list?

Check the fuel pump relay for starters.  I would change it just due to the years.  My daughter has a 86 Stanza and it was doing what yours was doing and that was the problem.

About a month later it started doing it again and it was running rough like it had a miss and that turned out to be the distributor having oil in it.  Seems the pickup is optical and the oil was getting on the shutter wheel.
