Nissan Repair: nissan skyline r32 gts-t, nissan skyline r32, r32 gts

warning light bottom right corner of dash display.I have no owners manual so can't i.d.Car has begun to splutter for long periods not all the time.Symptoms are similar to bad fuel,fuel filter dirty,or even spark plug wear.However red light has me curious may be related,unsure.Can you please help to i.d dash light and give insight to ensuing problem.Much appreciated

I don't know what year your Skyline is?  But, from the red light you probably have a Malfunction Indication Light.  So, the best thing is to do is work through the systems and make sure the plugs, wires, filter and the like are in working order.  I would start with a tuneup and replace those items I mentioned.  I do not know if your year has a distributor.  If it does you should check to see that the shaft seal has not blown and letting oil into the mechanism that fires the plugs.  That is another area where there could be a problem.  If the car has an air meter the engine would run rough if the intake hose had a crack in it between the Mass Airflow Sensor and the throttle body.  Check these out and let me know what you find.
