Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Cold Start, battery terminal, scan tool

Question
I have a 1997 OLDS LSS and when it gets cold and I try to start it I turn the key and get power to everything but starter. I hear no cranking it doesn't click nothing. If I leave the key in the on position for a while the car will eventually start. it only does this in the winter int eh summer it starts first try every time. ists slowely getting worse and I would liek to get it fixed. I was wondering if it was the iginition switch?

Answer
Hi
It very could be the ignition electrical switch.
My personal advice, would be to get it to a good repair shop and explain to them what it's doing.
Let them then have a scan tool hooked to car in the cold AM, and see if they can see what or where the problem is. It MAY just be a faulty battery terminal or something minor like this.
You may pay a few dollars, but if it is just a minor fix, you'll save in the long run.
Just advice.
I Hope this helps
