Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 89 cierra 3.3, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
need some help, shop can't figure it out. sometimes it stalls while driving. othertimes restarting is the problem. after the engine cools down, if i try to start it, it fires up but will only run for 1 second. won't stay running. the shop has replaced fuel filter, pump, and mass air flow sensor. keep having same trouble. any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Ted,
That is a toughie.
I would start by checking to see if there is spark when it won't run or start.
Then I would check the fuel pressure, even though it has a new pump.
Crank sensor could sure be the problem. Without a crank signal, the fuel pump will quit after 1 to 2 seconds. it also has something to do with the injection.
