Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Stalling, oldsmobile cutlass ciera, oldsmobile cutlass

Question
1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

My car has been shutting out any time that it slows down or stops.  The entire ignition system, distributor, and alternator belt has already been fixed. The fuel ignition system looks fine, it's getting fuel and spark. How can this be fixed asap? Please Help!

Answer
Your most likely problem is usually caused by the TCC SOLENOID (Torque Converter Control) located under the side cover of the transmission.

This is VERY common on l80's vehicles and the solenoid needs to be replaced.

If you look behind the drivers side headlights you will see a 4 wire electrical plug that plugs into the transmission. Unplug it and go drive the car and see if the stalling STOPS and let me know.
