Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: hard start, oil pressure switch, engine oil pressure

Question
i have a 1994 buick lesabre it starts real hard only when its cold it dont seem if any gas is getting up into the injectors to  it will start after along time of cranking it and then it seems to run good what can ilook for

Answer
Hi Rick,
Go back near the gas tank, and listen for the pump in the tank to buzz for about three seconds just after someone turns the key to RUN...not start.
If you don't hear the buzz, it may be the fuel pump relay.
The reason it would start after a long crank is, there is a backup system for the pump. There is an oil pressure switch, that when engine oil pressure builds up, closes, and sends battery voltage to the pump.

My guess is the relay isn't working, and you are running completely on the oil pressure switch.
