I know this car is a little newer than what you stated in your profile but, i have a 01 blazer 2 door and the other day i went to pop the lift glass by the remote , the lights flashed but it did not pop the trunk i contunied to press the button inside the cab and out side the car, nothing, there is no manual way of geting the glass open and i have about 800 pound of weight in the back that i need out!  i did check the fuses they are all good but one thing that is funny about this problem is at the same time the lock and unlock buttons inside the cab do not work on either door but they do work when the remote is used? any suggestions  and thank you so much for oyur help! ! !

Hello David,
Sounds like the connector in the drivers door is loose.

Van,
Thnak you again for your help, are you talking about the connector to the control module on the drivers door? also an other related problem i noticed is that the mirror control does not work also.. i have completely disconnected that controll module on the drivers door and made sure all three connectors were back in firmly...  i just thought that this was an odd problem considering that i can unlock the doors with the remote but cant pop the trunk with it.

Answer
Hello David,
I looked in a manual for a 89 blazer, and both the rear window key switch system and door lock system are powered by the same fuse...actually a 30 Amp circuit breaker. Possibly marked power accessory.

On a smaller blaxer, the mirrors and door locks are on the same fuse.

My 89 manual didn't have electric mirrors on a blazer.

Weather the same breaker is used for your year I don't know. But worth a check of the circuit breakers.

That doesn't explain why they work with the remote.

Have you tried holding in on the lift glass as someone hits the unlock button?
