Plymouth Repair: Recent work that was done., plymouth voyager, head gaskets

Question
I just had some work done on my 1994 Plymouth voyager.  I had to get new head gaskets, two new heads, and new hoses after I noticed that it was over heating.  The mechanic charged 750 for the labor and said that he got the parts from Plymouth.  I am just wondering how much you think the total cost would be.  Plus when I got it back I noticed that there was low to no heat.  I told my mechanic about it and he said that it probably would need a heater core flush and would cost about 50 dollars. Does that sound right to you?

Thanks, Chris

Answer
Hey,

There probably could have been a better service procedure than handing your vehicle back after spending 1500 bucks on the cooling system and having little to no heat.
It very well may have needed head gaskets but the sad thing is that they are done now..... So you only can trust what he said.  If hey knew it had no heat he should have flushed the core when the heads were off.  Its right there and so easy to access at that point (the lines to it, not the core itself, its in teh dash).
