Pontiac Repair: 2008 PontiacG6 3.5V6, negative battery cable, head gaskets

car overheated and shutdown no dash lightswill not turn over nothing when you turn key.Last thing stepdaughter saw was amotor with a padlock thru it.Was able to get socket on flywheel and can turn motor. pretty sure it overheated is there aspecial code orsomething Ineed to clear?

sounds like 2 issues going on here. the overheating is one thing those are noted for coolant cross over gasket leaking on the front of the engine and head gaskets.
As for the lights and nothing else work take a lolok at the negative battery cable at the tranmission follor it down from the battery to where it attaches to the engine/trnamission bolt chances are the cable broke off. good luck :-)
