Question
After my wife drove it home from work,about an hour and half of driving. The car set for maybe a half an hour, when we got it in to go somewhere, it would hardly move, the engine seemed to have a great load on it , but the car was hardly moving as though the brakes were being applied at the same time as the gas. So we decided to take it back home after getting about a half mile from our home and we drove it in reverse which seemed fine, lots of power and no extra load on the motor...today I drove the car around our subdivision and had no problems with it at all, but my wife is fearful of driving it to work again...can you help to explain this...Thank you if you can... Answer
Hi Jeff:

this is Odd, with out hearding seeing it or experincing it I can't even begin to tell you what may have been the issue. The fact that the engine seemed like it had a lod on it and didn't rev up like it was in neutral it would lead to belive that it is/was a brake hanging up or som sort of a wierd trasnmission issue. I see you in Ohio so you part of the rust belt I would tend to lean more toward a brake issue like a claiper hanging up more to the rear then the front. The caliper pins rust up and hang up on that car. But why did it stop doing it? I would hve the brake checked out on this car and see if that could be the case. Soory I acn'r be of much more help on this one. good luck :-}
