had problems with a 2002 ponitac gp/supercharger starting when hot findly figered it was a bad fuel pump installed a new pump and new plug that came with it. now it won't start the pump won;t kick on to charge the system,i checked and i'm getting power to the grey wire on the plug.what could be wrong

Answer
Hi richard:

my guess it you have the wires crossed at the new plug. there are 4 wires a power for the pump a ground for the pump a ground for the level sensor and the siganl wire for the level sensor. the wires must be crossed. another thing to look at on thse cars is if it starts and stalls out the fuel pump on that car is 2 speeds the low speed pump is controlled by a ballit resitor that is in the r/f fender if you live in the rust belt like I do those go bad all the time. good luck.
