Pontiac Repair: 1999 pontiac transport no spark wont fire, crank sensor, pontiac transport

Question
we have a 99 pontiac transport. we got it off a friend who couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Its not getting no fire at the plugs or the injectors. we have changed all coils the module, crank censor, cam censor, ecm, it drove just fine when they had it then it started to cut out then ran fine again then it cut out real bad and died and now we have no idea what is wrong with it. any ideas would be great

Answer
Hey chris:
well if it has no spark and no injector pulse The problem more then likley lies with the ignition system The ignition system sends the signal to the enegine computer to fire the injectors and if you do not have spark at any of the coils then the issue has to be with either the igniton module or the crank sensor and you said  you replaced both so the next step would be to check the wiring going to the ignition module Make sure on the 2 wire connector on the passenger side you have power and ground the pink wire is power the black wire is ground. On the drivers side there is a connector with 2 wires as well yellow and purple. Those go to  the crank sensor With a digital ohm meter check the resistance of the circuit with it still connected to the sensor it should be between 800-1200 Ohms or there about.. if that is good then crank the enegine over and check for ac volatge on those wires you should be getting a signal. If the resistance is off then you have a bad sensor or a issue with the wire harness. If the voltage is not there then you have a bad sensor. good luck :)
