Pontiac Repair: 1996 Trans Am electrical issue, hvac controls, hvac control

Question
I have a 96 firebird and when I turn off the car and open the door the HVAC and fan controls still operate.  This is something fairly new and I have also been having a drain on the battery when sitting for more than a day can needs to be jumped.  I believe the two are working together.

Hi Kevin;

Does this car have any kind of aftermarket stuff aded to it like a remote starter or alarm?
None of the HVAC controls should contine to work once the key is off. Does the rear defogger work if you try ruening that on when the fan is running? Does the fan run on HI or a lower speed. It could have a blower relay that sticks on. does the HVAC control head light up like backlighting? or anything like that or just the fan run? This is odd once the key is off the RAP will keep accy's on like radio but not the HVAC that's why I'm woundering if there is any kind of aftermarket stuff hooked up on this car.
