Pontiac Repair: My Car wont start Please Help!, head lamps, pontiac sunfire

I have a 97 manual Pontiac Sunfire. Not to long ago it would start but then after
awhile it would start to lose power (no matter how much i press on the gas) then
start to die this happens when I am shifting from N to 1st and 2nd. Other gears
are fine. Few days ago this happened and i barely got home. Now when I try to
start it it doesn't turn over. Please help. Thanks!

Hi Alex:

well start with the basics here is the battery fully charged? how are the cattery cable connections clean and tight? do any of the electrical accessories work like the head lamps brake lights etc.. do the accessories that are ig nition switch related work when the key is on like the radio and blower motor? you may have more the n one issue here one that was making it run poorly and one that is preventing it from starting. is there a security lamp on the dash flashing? it may have a theft system issue.
