Pontiac Repair: 1997 Grand Prix GTP code PO102, mass air flow, grand prix gtp

Got PO102 code on my 1997 Grand Prix GTP 3.8. THe code is Mass Air Flow Low.  Took sensor out and cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner and reset code.  Same code came back.  How often does replacing the sensor fix the problem or are there other places I should look? Thank you

That is a pretty common code for that engine in that car. 9 times out of 10 it's the sensor it's self that is bad. the other time it's a bad connection at the sensor it's self. I have seen the terminals in the conntor for the sensor be bad and cause a bad connetion but like I siad most of the time it's the sensor and nothing else. Good luck :)
