Pontiac Repair: 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport TCS fault, pontiac trans sport, wheel speeds

Question
Hi, i have a 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport with the 3800 engine.  I have the TCS light coming on on the dashboard whenever i go over 5 miles and hour.  I have a scanner and i can read all 4 wheel speeds but no error codes, just the TCS light coming on.  Where can i check further?

Answer
Hi Wayne:

if you have a scanner are any codes set in the system? usually if a code sets whil the van is moving it's a speed sensor error of some kind. the other thing on some of those older units on the first start off when the van reaches about 8mph it goes through a self test the first time after the van is turned on. It could have another fault of some kind in the system to when it does it's self test it's seeing something it doesn't like and trips the lamp on but it should set a code. Are there any codes in the engine control computer? If so look into that as well the traction control on this van uses the engine and the abs controllers for traction control. Good luck :)
