Pontiac Repair: 2000 montana extended, easy job, temp sensor

My outside temperature sensor is not reading correctly.  I've read your answer telling where the sensor is.  My question is, can I just replace the sensor myself or is something more needed?  Thanks.

No this is a easy job. if tyhe van has been sitting for a long time say over night and you replace the sensor as soon as you start the van the temp ature should read correctly. if the van has not been sitting for a while once you replace the sensor you will have to drive the van for a while and the temp sensor will update it's self within a mile or 2 of driving. It's east to change just unplug the senor and remove the one screw that hold it to the body of the van. Good luck :}
