Pontiac Repair: ABS and trac off light..., ABS lamp on grand prix

Hi..I have a 1997 grand prix gt 3.8L v6, no supercharge...and my ABS and "trac off" light stays on and it's really annoying, can you please help me out?   Thanx, Rudy

Does the lamp come on right away when you start the car up or do you have to start rolling before the lamp(s) come on? If they go on righ taway there is either an issue with the wiring to the ABS sensors or an internal failure in the ABS computer or valve. If the lamp comes on when your moving it's more than liley a wheel speed sesnor issue. Have that car scanned for codes and see what codes are in the unit and go from there. At least you know where to start then. A lot of car parts stores do free code scanning give it a shot. Good luck :)
