Pontiac Repair: 03 Pontiac Gran Prix, pontiac gran prix, pontiac grand prix

Question
We have an 03' Pontiac Grand Prix SE, the light for the clock and radio went out. What is the fix for this, is there a bulb to replace? Also have the front passenger power window will not work, do you have a way to trouble shoot this.

Hey kevin:

Sorry the bulb in the radio is not serviced seperatly. we at the dealer do not even touch them when one is bad we just order an exchange unit and put in the new one. As for the window I assume it's inop from both switches? If that were the case it could be either of the switches or the motor. To check it get a 12 volt test light and take the right hand witch out of the door and leave it plugged into the wire harness. turn the key on and check for power and grouns between the brown and dark blue wires. the lamp should light up in both directions up and down. if not then it's a switch issue. If it does light up the motor is bad and that is serviced with the window regulator as 1 big piece. Good luck :)
