Pontiac Repair: 2003 Pontiac Grand Am turn signal malfunction, pontiac grand am, signal relay

Hi Todd. My 03 Grand Am turn signal relay (or flasher I'm not sure) clicks randomly while in the neutral position. Hoping it was a quick fix, I've removed the multi-function switch, cleaned its connectors, and returned it, only to manage breaking the small metal ring on the back of the steering wheel, thus breaking the horn. I'm off to a bad start and seriously need some advice. Please help!!1

Hey Craig:
you were in the right spot. The problem is with the turn signal switch  it's self. You need to get a new one the problem is internal to the switch and it's not serviced. as for the ring you broke it's called a cancel cam. You need special tools to remove the air bag,steering wheel and the cancel cam. This is not a job for the do it your selfer. The air bag is a dangerous thing to be playing around with or near.
