Pontiac Repair: Noise, cv joints, rear hubs

Question
hello i have a 1997 pontiac grand am se manual.  Whenever i press the clutch or accelerate a constant clicking noise can be heard. The faster i go the faster the clicking of the noise. what can be the problem?

Answer
Hi
Is it coming from the engine area, front of car or rear?
If front, you could check the CV joints, brake pads for possible contact on rotors, hubs (bearings)
If from the engine compartment, Engine mechanical items, clutch noise, belt or an accessory noise.
Rear could be out of round drums, shoe contact on drums, rear hubs (bearings).
I hope this helps
