Pontiac Repair: interior lights wont come on, dome lamps, pontiac montana

i have a 2001 pontiac montana 3.4L front wheel drive and the interior lights won't come on, dash is ok and all other electrical is working fine. I changed the fuse with  no luck...any ideas? Thank you

Hi Joe.

Do the lamps come on when you use the dimmer switch on the dash to override the doors and make them come on? Is the switch in the overhead console turned off for the dome lamps? you could have an issue with the body control module not allowing the lights to turn on. do the lamps turn on when you push on them to use them as map lights? if not then you may still have a body control issue or a bad gound. This is a pretty comples system even know it a simple dome lamp circuit. good luck :}
