Pontiac Repair: Gas Guage on Pontiac Sunfire 1999, pontiac sunfire, tank unit

My daughter's Sunfire always read a full gas tank.  Could you please tell us what we should check or have repaired.

It is PROBABALLY the Tank unit, inside the tank (Float)
It will probabally behoove ya'll to take it to either a dealership, or a shop with the proper scan tool to preform a "sweep" of the guage, to make sure it is not binding or bound up.
From experience, though most likely the In tank fuel sender is at fault.
