First I would like to say that on this board I must stay with stock numbers.
Second depending on the year of 2.2, fuel pressure is usually in the 41-47psi rating.
The later years, with the Multi Tec2 injectors, I know you can clean them using 75psi.
Let me know the exact year and I'll give you the exact fuel pressure ratings.
Just advise from experience.

QUESTION: my car is a 2000 pontiac sunfire and what i wanted to do was put a manual fuel pressure regulator on there to up the pressure a few pounds cause i have my head ported and polished with a full cold air intake and feel that im getting too much air and not enough fuel, so i was wondering if it was possible for the stock injectors to handle a few more psi?

I would say then Yes they can handle higher pressures.
They are Multitec2 injectors and they are cleaned with 75psi of pressure.
Depending on how high your gonna pump them up they will be able to handle it, I'm certian.
