RV Repair: retractable awning, retractable awning, happy camping

I just purchased a 2004 jayco jflight travel trailer and the awning was removed for some reason or another. the awning is in good shape and so are the bracket and arms. my question is do you have to do anything to get roll up tension on awning assembly

well being that you not sure why it was taking off.it could have a broken spring.
i would wind some tension on it before installing it.
to put tension on it wind up the end it should have arrows on the top of the ends where the legs attach.
