PS: just the coach part, not the toyota .

Answer
Hi Rick:
I would not use a chemical remover, have done that and it makes a real mess. Use a vibrating type sander or sanding block. Chip loose paint with a small to medium size scraper. Fill cracks and holes with a good quality filler.
You can find filler in any auto paint store, usually comes in a small tube (red or blue), easy to work, dries fast and sands well. Remember that any surface irregularities that you can feel by running your hand over the surface will be seen after painting. As for paint I would use an acrylic enamel, paints well ouside without heat lamp curing. Make shure it is a still days and not much dust. Your Wagner is fine for a lot of things but not this it will be next to impossible to keep the paint from running and getting an even coating. If you do not have access to an air paint gun then I suggest renting one. They rent at fairly low cost with a small compressor and the finished product will be well worth it.
