Saturn Repair: saturn wont stay running, saturn sl, tail lamps

Question
Hi Chris,
I have a 93 saturn SL 1, had some rearend dmg that i replaced the driver rear quater and bumper and truck lid, i was wondering if there was some kind of ground that i am missing becuase it wont stay running , it ran ok before i replaced the parts, if i turn the hazards on the car stays running, if i turn the headlights on the car will stall, same as if i put the car in reverse, and drive.. and if i unplug the lights for the tail lights and the trnck lid lights the car will die.. hoping you have seen this before.. thanks for you time
Jason

Answer
Jason, that is one WILD story.  I'd hate to be in your shoes right now.  I have never seen this condition before, or anything like it.  I can only walk you through the logical process of fixing it.  I would just backtrack, take off the parts that you installed..piece by piece, until you have found the problem.  The only thing that I can think to check is the left/rear ground.  It should be under the trunk mat, or on the left wall of the trunk.  I believe that is the ground splice pack for the fuel pump/tail lamps.  Start there and if that doesn't work, start taking off parts.  Let me know how it comes out,

Chris
