Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh 2 cycle carberator

Question
QUESTION: I have a jiffy ice auger 30 with Tecumseh carb, it leaks gas from the choke outlet when I prime it and it will continue to leak, I rebuilt carb with new diaphragm, needle, and gaskets, still leaks when primed what's going on?

ANSWER: I am assuming you have a diaphragm style carb, correct?

Did you do a Google search for "Tecumseh diaphragm carburetor" or "Tecumseh 2 cycle carburetor"?

Was there a seat under the inlet needle that may not have been installed when rebuilding?

The rubber seat has to be installed a certain way or the carb will leak gas.  The tip of the needle should contact the smooth side of the rubber seat...NOT the GROOVE side of the seat.
