Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn Tractor 22HP Twin Engine, engine model type, new spark

Hello Eric,

Hope you can help or I will have to bring it to the shop :-(.  My tractor started running rough so I cleaned the Air Filter, did and oil & filter change, new spark plugs, and new fuel filter.   But before I did all this I took a spark plug out to write down the name and model number no gas came out of the motor.  When I changed the fuel filter I put it on backwards  I had gas all over the garage, then I took out a spark slug and the engine had gas in it.   I flushed it out by truing it over with spark plugs out.  I put the filter the other way this morning I had the same problem gas in the engine HELP HELP?   Before the tuneup it ran a little rough but started every time..

Sounds like the carburetor inlet needle is not sealing, i.e., stopping fuel from entering the engine when the mower is off.

What is the engine model, type and code number so I can look up the engine?

If gas is in the oil then you will have to change the oil agian.

Send me the engine info.
