Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Peerless model 910, peerless model, rubber stoppers

Question
I own a Riding lawn mower Murray model 46576x92B, I've verified the peerless model 910 is at fault.  I've removed both rubber stoppers and drained. One smelled like oil the other didn't? Can you tell me what type of fluids to replace with and to what location they go in.  Thanks in advance
Bruce

The only oil that is used is a 5W50 oil,This is a Tecumseh trans axle there has to be other numbers on the unit some of there trans have a sealed trans some you can not add oil or drain I would need to complete number if you can find it on the parts diagram. It may be a VST-205-024 Check the diagram I have attached.
