Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 3.5hp Briggs, briggs and stratton, debris screen

Question
Hi I have a lawnmower with a 3.5hp Briggs and Stratton classic engine with the pulsa prime carb on it. I recently took the tank and carb off because they were full of crap. I got the tank cleaned out and soaked the carb in cleaner overnight and blew it out with compressed air. Once I got it back together the mower will start up but won't stay running. It will run intil the primed fuel is burned then it will die until it's primed again. Would you have any idea what could be wrong with my mower. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Answer
I have had a few of those carbs I never could fix...just had to replace the carb.

Did you install the gasket and diaphram correct?  If you get these backwards the carb can't pump fuel.

Try removing the debris screen on the carbs main fuel pickup and see if it will run.  Make sure you have a full tank of fuel.

Let me know what happens.
