Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower will not shut off, cub cadet z force, starter solenoid

Question
Hello, I have a Cub Cadet Z Force, zero turn riding mower with a 20 hp twin V B&S engine. My problem is the engine will keep running
when I turn the key to the off position. I can hear a difference in the sound of the engine, but I have to choke the engine until it floods to get it to shut off. I have changed the ignition switch and the starter solenoid but it has not helped.
Any help would be appreciated.

Answer
Look on the engine block for wires connected to the engine.  You should find the starter wire (large) wire, a couple or maybe 3 charging system wires, the carburetor shut-off solenoid wire, and finlly, a sigle engine shut-off wire.  Make sure the wire did not get dis-connected...I've seen this a couple of time.  Using a flashlight may help you see the wire.

Let me know what you find.
