Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): job qoute(pricing), newark new jersey, shop accessories

Question
I just would like a general idea of what a repair shop would/should charge to  replace the rings on a kawasaki 13 HP.thanks

Answer
Hello Frank:

>>****This is a Hard Question to Answer and I Usually do Not Quote Prices, but more and more I am Asked to do so. Do Not Hold me to these Prices, Please.****
>>Some Shops will Not Simply Replace the Rings. They Do a Re-Ring on the Engine. This Includes New Gaskets, Rings, Re-Seating the Valves, Soaking and Cleaning of All Engine Components.
>>Also, your Area of Residence will Determine the Shop Labor Prices. Example: New York City or Newark, New Jersey May Charge a Shop Price of $85.00@hr and in Raleigh, NC a Shop May Charge $55.00@hr Labor.
>>You are Basically doing a Short Overhaul and Cannot Expect Any Shop to Warranty this Type of Work.
>>Here is a Rough Pricing as if you were Bringing the Engine Only to the Shop here. 1- Total Hours for Dis-assembly, Cleaning and Assembly = 8hrs@$40.00@hr = #320.00 . Cost of the Parts = ?. Shop Accessories (Cleaning Supplies, Sandpaper, Oil, ect) Minimum Chg is $15.00. Now you have the Taxes to Pay on the Total.
>>The Approximate Cost is going to be $355.00 to $375.00 Parts Not Included and Provided No Other Components Require Replacing or Repairing.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
