Craftsman 917-273372 17.5 OHV riding mower cuts for 20 mins then motor dies
let cool down awhile start mowing same thing again only less time before it dies! changed fuel filter, air filter, spark plug. Driving me nuts!!!

Check your flywheel and magneto for rust and trash buildup. That is the first thing we check for this situation. Be sure and clean the magnet and magneto arms well and re-install at the proper specs which is .010-.014. Also check your fuel tank for trash that could be blocking the outlet. If these thing don't correct the problem, you may need to replace the magneto. Hope this helps.
